Chris Boulden
Designer Illustrator

Based in London, I work independently on all manner of projects with a focus on branding and visual communication in the cultural and humanities sector.
In 2026 I have worked as a designer for 27 years, independently since 2003. I have also enjoyed putting my mind to creative and art historical writing, cell animation and web design. I work practically, figuring a project’s anatomy out with graphite, illustrating with ink on paper and screen, and explore the bounds of typography – from brand identity to book design, technical layout and editing.

In addition to my design practice, I paint depictions and observations of the natural world. Feel free to see a few examples of my art at chrisboulden.com

Katrin Bellinger Collection
2025

In 2025 Katrin Bellinger Collection was invited a second time to produce a special display at the Salon Du Dessin in Paris. I was commissioned again to design a simple takeaway printed piece, promoting the collection and the display, utilising a subselection of images of artworks displayed. The set of matching bookmarks proved to be popular with the exhibition visitors.
